- Graduation Requirements
The number of prior college credits you've earned will determine how your college journey will look, but you can start from anywhere.
Option 1: 40 or more college credits
If you have already earned at least 40 college credits, you can jump right into one of the online bachelor’s degree programs listed above after applying.
Option 2: Fewer than 40 college credits
If you have earned fewer than 40 credits in college, you can still chart a course to an online bachelor’s degree at Trevecca. You'll just need to enroll in our associate degree program first. Every credit you earn in an associate program will transfer fully into any of our online bachelor's degree programs, and if a bachelor’s degree is your goal, it’s not necessary to complete your associate degree in order to move into a bachelor’s program once you meet the 40-credit requirement.

Frequently Asked Questions
I’m already busy managing a full-time job and other commitments. How will I find time to complete coursework and study?
Will I receive the same experience online as those who attend class in person?
Trevecca's cohort model is one of the reasons the school has become the fastest growing university in Middle Tennessee. It’s a highly successful online experience that allows students from various backgrounds and locations to succeed. You begin and complete your degree alongside a group of other online classmates working toward similar goals. Your peers provide the support needed so you can get the most out of your studies. Even while taking online classes, you stay very engaged with your cohort classmates. Email exchanges and online discussion posts happen weekly. Many faculty even provide Zoom sessions and weekly videos to deepen engagement with online students.
I haven’t been a student in years—what if I fall behind or struggle to keep up with classes?

I don’t have 40 transferable credit hours—what are my options?
We offer an associate program that will help you earn your general education credits as well as some introductory courses in a specific discipline. If you already have some credits (but fewer than 40), our enrollment counselors can help with determining which classes you need, both in general education or elective classes. All these courses can be completed online. Connect with an enrollment counselor to get started. You can use the inquiry form on this page.
Can I really graduate with my bachelor’s degree in 18 months?
Yes! Our core programs are approximately 18 months long. To graduate, you’ll need to meet all graduation requirements for a bachelor’s degree, including minimum general education requirements and elective requirements. An enrollment counselor can help you determine exactly what you need to graduate and the available options to complete all your requirements.
Do you use textbooks or e-books?
We use primarily physical textbooks for our courses, though some classes do use e-books.
What are the technology requirements for the online program?
In today’s world, capable managers and leaders are more resourceful and resilient than their peers. In several of Trevecca’s programs, we want to build students’ ability to be resourceful and resilient in addressing their technology needs. Read our full list of technology requirements →
