Angela Carr Forsythe is an assistant professor of music and director of vocal studies in the School of Music and Worship Arts. She earned a doctoral degree from Ball State University, a master’s from Longy School of Music and a bachelor’s from Eastern Nazarene College.
Angela’s role at Trevecca encompasses teaching private voice lessons and voice-related classes. She is a frequent soloist with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra, New England Light Opera, Masterworks Chorale and Concert Chorale of Nashville. She specializes in early music and performs with the Cantata Singers of Boston, the Music City Baroque and Early Music City ensembles. Highlights of her session work include recordings for Disney, the TV show “Fargo,” the “Destiny 2” video game and Jeremy Camp’s album “We Cry Out: The Worship Project.” She holds all three certification levels in the Somatic Voicework™ Lovetri Method, a method of vocal training in various commercial styles.
Angela resides in South Nashville with her husband Matt.
