Deanna lives in Shawnee, Kan., with her husband Ben and their two children, Josiah and Hannah. An ordained elder, she teaches ministry classes at MidAmerica Nazarene University, Northwest Nazarene University and Nazarene Theological Seminary as well as Trevecca. She earned a Ph.D. through Nazarene Theological College in Manchester, England, and served for 15 years as a pastor in the Kansas City, Mo., area in associate and lead pastor roles. Born and raised in San Diego, she has also spent time living and teaching in South Korea.
