Mary is the assistant professor of the New Testament. She teaches a range of classes at Trevecca, including the liberal arts requirement Introduction to Biblical Faith, New Testament Greek, all upper-division New Testament books, and New Testament Theology. She received Trevecca's Teaching Excellence Award for 2020-2021. Her research is primarily in Pauline Epistles, and she is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene.
