Mrs. Purino grew up in New City, NY, and received her B.S. in Biology from Houghton College. She always had a passion for medicine and shifted gears after learning about the flexibility of the PA profession. This brought her to Nashville where she earned her B.S. in Physician Assistant Studies from Trevecca and then a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
She worked as a physician assistant in family practice and precepted many Trevecca PA students throughout the years. In 2010, she was asked to adjunct a course in the PA program which led to part-time and then full-time faculty positions. Mega loves teaching and is grateful to be a part of the Trevecca community.
She is married to Keith who is also a graduate of the Trevecca PA class of 1998. They have two amazing kids, Anna and Nate.
