Michael Lee Harland is an assistant professor of music for the School of Music and Worship Arts, holding the Bachelor of Music in vocal performance from Tennessee Technological University, Master of Music in music history from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. in musicology from the University of Texas at Austin.
Michael teaches music history, music theory, world music and fine arts. His academic research interests concern symphonic music of the nineteenth century, theories of musical meaning, hermeneutics, worldview, theology and philosophy.
Michael lives in Spring Hill, Tenn., with his wife and three children.
