Michael is an associate professor of homiletics and Hebrew Bible in the Millard Reed School of Theology and Christian Ministry at Trevecca. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Jacksonville University, a Master of Divinity degree from Nazarene Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from McCormick Theological Seminary. Before he joining the faculty of Trevecca full time, he served as a pastor in various contexts in the Church of the Nazarene (in North Carolina, Florida, Georgia and Kansas) and taught as an adjunct professor in the master's program. Michael (MJ) and his wife Cheryl live in the Nashville area and are the proud parents of two sons and six grandchildren.
