Tassany Henderson is a native Nashvillian but just recently moved to Toledo, OH with her family. She joined the Trevecca family as an Assistant Professor in April 2024. However, Tassany is no stranger to TNU. She graduated with her Ed.D in 2018. A short time later, she began working with TNU in a part-time role as an Ed.D reader and adviser. Prior to joining Trevecca, Tassany served in her most recent role as the Associate Director of Career Development for Digital Learners in Peabody College at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. Tassany worked in several roles during her time at Vanderbilt from 2017 to 2024. She also worked as an Admissions Counselor at Nashville State Community College and Cumberland University from August 2012 to June 2017.
In addition to being a Trevecca graduate, Tassany also attended Middle Tennessee State University where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 2008 and her Master’s degree in Administration & Supervision – Higher Education in 2010. Tassany also serves her community by being a member of the Music City Children's Museum's Advisory Board. She is a proud wife to Dr. Eugene Henderson, III, who serves as the Senior Associate Athletic Director of Student Engagement at the University of Toledo. She is also a mother to Olivia, Eugene, IV, and Paige. Her hobbies include spending time with family, finding new museums, and attending live music events.
