Timothy Michael Powell is a composer, conductor, and music clinician. He holds a DMA in Conducting from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor's and Master's degree from Belmont University. He enjoys membership in ASCAP, Pi Kappa Lambda and ACDA, and is a voting member of the Recording Academy (GRAMMY).
Timothy has successfully led choral programs in middle school, high school and universities, performing multiple times by peer-reviewed invitation at the National Association for Music Education and American Choral Directors Association conferences. He was one of 25 educators in the United States to be named a Semi-finalist for the 2016 Grammy Music Educator Award and won the American Prize in Choral Performance in 2012. He has been named the National Choristers Guild Scholar and a Fulbright Scholar.
Timothy and his wife, Jennifer, have two musical children and live in the Middle Tennessee area.
