Trevecca Nazarene University is a Christian community providing education for leadership and service.

The Department of Communication Studies invites applications for an adjunct faculty position in Communication: Introduction to Mass Media beginning August 2024.

This course is part of the requirements of Film/TV and Multimedia Journalism majors at Trevecca Nazarene University.

The Department of Communication Studies currently has over 90 students enrolled in nine majors: Communication Studies, Dramatic Arts, Graphic Design, Interpersonal Communication, Multimedia Journalism, Film/TV Production, Organizational Communication, Speech Communication Education, and Theatre Education.  The department consists of 6 full-time faculty members,      1 part-time faculty member, and several adjunct faculty members.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess an MA or higher in Mass Media, Communication Studies or a related field. Additionally, they will possess strong oral and written communication skills, a passion for working with undergraduates in Christian higher education, and the ability to plan and deliver engaging lectures, discussions, and activities that facilitate student learning.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior teaching experience at the university level, and proficiency in using educational technology and learning management systems.
