Overall Responsibility
The Systems Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and supporting a variety of existing and new computer applications and interfaces. Support will include installation, upgrades, customization, testing, and end user assistance. This is a hybrid role allowing flexibility to work from home but with a requirement to be on site regularly and when needed. The Systems Analyst will be a regular full-time 12-month position, which reports to the Director of Application Services.
Key areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:
- Assist in the maintenance, support, and configuration of the University’s various business applications including:
- Student Information System (SIS)
- Learning Management System (LMS)
- Finance and HR ERP Systems
- CRMs
- Productivity systems including Microsoft 365 and SharePoint
- Document Management Systems
- Various third-party applications supporting all campus departments
- Work closely with the university’s business units and staff to understand their requirements and facilitate solutions.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of API integrations between 3rd party products and the systems listed above
- Facilitate campus-wide reporting and analytics
- Perform complete testing (unit & system) of assigned applications, engaging and training end users as necessary
- Provide a timely and relevant summary of outstanding tasks to the Director and CIO on a weekly basis and escalate urgent issues to the Chief Information Officer as needed

Qualifications
- A personal commitment to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and to the mission and core values of the Church of the Nazarene including service to others, community, and diversity
- Strong soft skills and customer support abilities
- Canvas LMS support experience a plus
- SharePoint experience a plus
- Previous SIS experience desirable
- Strong SQL skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in common development technologies such as XML, JSON, web APIs, PHP, HTML5
- Familiarity with LDAP authentication and Single Sign-On technology
- Ability to learn new computer applications quickly and with little formal training
- Ability to communicate and teach non-technical users
- Highly organized with the ability and willingness to maintain extensive written documentation
- Ability to “think outside the box” and apply creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
- Ability to promptly answer support-related email, phone calls and other electronic communications
